This is pure speculation on my part, but I'm guessing that the Album Globe label was set up similarly to Album World, in that it started
out as a consortium intended to give smaller, regional labels an opportunity to gain access to national marketing. While I'm not certain t
Album Globe was a tax scam entity, there are certainly similarities to other known tax scam outfits. There are also differences. Most
tax scam outfits were activity in the 1976 - 78 timeframe. Album Globe seems to have been active in the 1980 - 82 timeframe. Maybe
they were just latecomers to the party? Maybe they found a slightly different angle to the scam? I'd love to know. They also had some
real corporation gumption, releasing material by some of the most litigious acts in the world including Led Zeppelin and Barbara Streisand.
