At least to my ears, Tony Banks' keyboards were a major part of Genesis' post-Peter Gabriel commercial successes.  His wall of sound textures gave the band it's unique sound and helped hide the limitations inherent in Phil Collins' voice.   Interestingly, in spite of those contributions, Banks has never gotten much recognition (either as a member of Genesis, or as a solo act).

1986's "Soundtracks" pulls six tracks from two of Banks solo projects (the "Quicksilver" and "Lorca and the Outlaws" soundtracks).  All six tracks are at least mildly interesting showcasing Banks' gift for coaxing nifty textures out of his keyboards.  Instrumental efforts such as ''Quicksilver Suite and 'Redwing Suite' should appeal to Genesis fans, particularly since much of the material sounds like something out of the 1980s' era Genesis catalog.  To my moe commercial ears, the three vocal performances showcasing Fish ('Shortcut To Somewhere'), Jim Diamond ('You Call This Victory') and Toyah ('Lion of Symmetry') provide some of the more interesting numbers, though Toyah's shrill falsetto sounds disturbingly similar to Geddy Lee's yelp.
